Gustaf came to Christ in 2000 in South Africa. Since then he has devoted his life to following Jesus and building His church.

At the end of 2003 he came to the UK and has served in the local church as a youth leader, church planter and associate pastor. He is currently the Senior Pastor of Living Stones Church in Birmingham.

Gustaf is passionate about the local church and holds leadership positions in several church networks. He is also a qualified Performance Coach and Employment Specialist, and was previously a university lecturer in Missiology.

Away from ministry, Gustaf loves spending time in nature with his wife Ruth. He's an avid reader — often with six books on the go at once — and a loyal supporter of the Sharks of Natal, St Helens and Liverpool FC.

Ruth serves alongside her husband Gustaf as co-pastor of Living Stones Church, with a deep heart for family, discipleship and the women of our church community.

Her ministry is marked by compassion, prayerful intercession and practical care — walking with women through every season of life and pointing consistently to the hope found in Jesus.

Ruth loves being part of a family that welcomes everyone as they are and believes every person has a place and a purpose in God's house.
